Forty Days after the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, the Bible (in the Acts of the Apostles) records that Jesus ascended into heaven in the presence of the eleven disciples. All are welcome to attend this festival Sung Eucharist for Ascension Day at St John’s Notting Hill, which will be followed by food and wine. The preacher at this service will be Bishop Graham Tomlin, The Bishop of Kensington. Music will be led by the St John’s Choral and Organ Scholars, Director of Music Tom Primrose, with dance led by the Filipino Chaplaincy. The Bishop of Kensington will be launching the New Worshipping Community of the Filipino Chaplaincy, in the presence of the Mayor of the Royal Borough and The Ambassador of the Philippines.
